Fans damage Shahid’s car

Shahid Kapur's swanky new car suffered some severe damage when a mob of anxious fans surrounded the actor recently.

Recently, Shahid was invited by the Police authorities for a function. Needless to say, there were scores of fans anxiously waiting to catch a dekko of the star.
Courtesy the tight security arrangements made for Shahid��s arrival, the crowd was kept under control till the time he was at the event. But things began to go terribly wrong the moment Shahid began to leave the venue. A large group of prospective autograph and photograph seekers mobbed Shahid. An eyewitness informs, ��Things were perfectly under control when Shahid arrived at the event but the moment the crowd saw him make a hasty exit, they all rushed towards him, eagerly seeking personalised autographs and photographs with the star. Soon, more fans joined in just to catch a closer glimpse of Shahid. All this resulted in a complete chaos.��
And that��s not all. In the brouhaha that followed, Shahid��s swanky new car suffered more than just a few minor scratches. A friend of Shahid��s says, ��As more and more fans came forward to grab Shahid, some wanting to shake hands with him, others wanting to hug him, or just to touch him, there was a virtual stampede near his car. By the time Shahid managed to escape from the unruly crowd, his car had been severely damaged. The car needs some serious repair work now. Fortunately, nobody was hurt,�� adds Shahid��s friend who was present with him at the time. Well, success does come at a price, we��ve all heard that. And Shahid is sure to more than agree.
